Learn More About Annuity Advantage

Posted by Cecile at 12/29/2012 10:28:00 PM 0 comments
My husband and I are still young to think about annuity advantage, but it doesn't hurt to do some research about it. That way, we will no longer ignorant when t comes to annuity. What is annuity anyway? According to what I've read. It is a contract between the buyer and the insurance company. In general, the insurance company promises to do something with the buyer's money...like grow it or pay it over a number of years.

Knowing the advantages of annuities is very important to a buyer. It can help them in many situations such as tax-deferred growth, rates return on money, lifetime payments and etc... So, if you are looking for some help with personal finance and investment, look no further for the link provided here can help you. Just click and learn. You will be glad you did!

Neat Looking Custom Guitar

Posted by Cecile at 12/08/2012 08:20:00 PM 0 comments
It would be neat if I can buy my son a different guitar such as a Gibson Les Paul custom guitar. When I saw it online, I got so excited for it. The gibson les paul custom at Musician's Friend  looks very nice. It's modern looking compare to the old fashioned one. I really think, it is time for a change, lol. Anyway, for now, I can save money for it while my son is still young. When he get a little bit older, then he can have this nice custom guitar from Gibson Les Paul custom guitar on his birthday, maybe in the next two years.

We Love Camping/Outdoor

My family and I love outdoor. Whenever we get a free time, we go camping. We love the things we can do during camping such as, hiking, fishing, swimming, ride our bikes and so forth. My son particularly loves to swim, and sleep in the tent. I love to hike and make food for them; while the husband loves everything about camping. Although we've camp a lot of times, I tell you, we still need some  Camping Equipment. I couldn't wait till spring and summer again where we can go camping again. For now, we are trying to complete the equipment we need as we camp. Luckily, we already have the things we need, just need some little things a camper like us can't live w/out :-).

Buying Gifts for Christmas!

Posted by Cecile at 11/22/2012 09:24:00 AM 0 comments

Buying gifts for Christmas gives me so much stress. Not knowing what to buy for each family members on top of tight budget is another thing. I am pretty sure you all can agree that this season is the most expensive time of the year. I don't really like it. I t drives away the real meaning of the season. Oh well, no matter what we say or do, we still ended going with the flow. It is hard to avoid not shopping for gifts, especially for our kid/s. Say, a Roll-A-Bout knee walker would be perfect for our son. He'd love to have one of this if we can afford it. I really like it, but for now I think the 'wants' can wait :-).

New Way to Exercise

Exercising is getting harder for me each winter time. I would like to walk or jog more outside but the cold temperature is keeping me from doing it. We have a treadmill, but sometimes it kind of boring to walk inside the house. I really need something new to try on. I was thinking of doing a Zumba, yoga or maybe a Pilates. If I decide to do a yoga, I knew of a place where to look for equipment I'll be needing. Good thing I can find a  yoga equipment here. I meant, if you click the link here the choices are endless which is great! For the meantime, I will just need to save some bucks so I can get the things I need for yoga.

Looking for a Place to Stay?

It would be nice if we have a vacation house we could go to during summer time. Summertime here in the state of Texas is not fun at all. It is really hot! It makes me getaway from it all. Who knows, maybe someday we would own one :-). Anyway, one time when we were living on the East coast, we got the chance of visiting an island called 'Ocra Coke in North Carolina. We had fun! It would have been more fun had we stayed overnight at outerbanks. If you are reading this and is interested, you can find a vacation house at  outerbanks mls here. This is the place you can find a house you can go to anytime you need to unwind and relax.

Safer Way to Ride and Communicate

Posted by Cecile at 11/20/2012 12:00:00 PM 0 comments

Christmas is fast approaching. In two days, thanksgiving day is over! Oh how time flies so fast. Before I know it, it's time to keep myself busy buying gifts my love ones for Christmas. As much as we could, we try to keep it inexpensive as possible. It's the thoughts that count, anyway :-). It would be nice though if I can get my eldest brother a Chatterbox XBI2. He can use it when he rides his bike or motorcycle. He can listen even communicate without holding his mobile phone, thus keeping him safe. The Bluetooth is great!

Musical Instruments

Posted by Cecile at 10/25/2012 12:06:00 PM 0 comments
Someday, we want our son to join the marching band. For now, he is still too young for that. He loves to sing, dance and listen to some music. Husband and I agreed that he has a talent at least on those category. Oh yeah, he can draw and wants to be an illustrator someday. Anyway, talking about being on a band. I think a lot of bands around our area, they can use a MXR at musicians friend. This will help with the sound of music, I think. I know some already use it and it really help them a lot.

The Kind of Guitar Strings We Need!

Posted by Cecile at 10/06/2012 06:58:00 PM 0 comments
Being an only child, it is not easy for us, nor to our son. He doesn't have a sibling to play with. He gets bored easily. We try as much as we could to play with him when there is no school, but it really isn't enough for him. So we decided to let him play with some of his friends inside our house. At first few weeks, his friends played nicely. But lately, we noticed that they play rough breaking a lot of his toys. I tried to hide Jacob's guitar, but they still manage to find it. Now, I worry they might break the guitar strings by how they play it. They already change its tune! We love this guitar because Jacob play with it. He said he wanted to learn to play guitar someday. So, we want to keep it till he is ready to use it. Good thing Gibson guitar strings at musicians friend sells the kind of strings we need for our guitar.

I Wished I was Rich!

I can so relate to those people who want to be rich. Why? Because if they are, they can easily gain money when they buy silver bullion. Silver bullion can make people rich in the long run because the longer you keep it, the more its value gets higher. It's like saving your money in the banks. Someday maybe when I win a lotto I'll buy silver or even gold bullion, lol.

Wreaths, my Favorite Decor

I love decorating my house especially during holiday season such as Halloween, Eater, Christmas, Valentines Day, and so on. Wreath can always be found hanging on our front door. But lately, decorations are kind of expensive. I feel like they are made of gold because of their prices. That is why sometimes I think of making it myself that way I won't spend a fortune on holiday decor. I wished I can find wreaths here at my favorites store right now!

Allergy, Please...Go Away!!!

Posted by Cecile at 9/30/2012 06:21:00 PM 0 comments
Normally, I don't get allergy. But this year I don't understand why I got it. It is terrible and I hate it. Headache, stuffy and runny nose complete with watery eyes. I feel like my body is draining. My husband on the other hand is allergy - free this year....hooray! Anyway, I figure I just need some rest and more water, but I was wrong. I obviously needs some kind of medicine to stop it. I need to phone my doctor to see what is the best allergy medicine for that will not contradict with other medications I am taking. It is hard to choose medicine to take since I take tons of medicines for my kidneys. I just wished this allergy will go away by itself, so there's no need for me to take additional medications. So tired with many medications...but I should be grateful for them. A lot of people need medicine and they couldn't afford to buy them. I am lucky to be blessed with health insurance that mostly covered my medicines and etc...so I shouldn't be complaining, lol.

Reputable Lawyer

Getting a reliable, honest and a lawyer that can be trusted is not easy to find...well at least for my Aunt who has been with several lawyers. Why? I don't really know. She really is prone to lawsuits. Not that she gets in trouble, but some people try to sue her for something she didn't do, just because she has money and they try to take advantage of her. I feel so sorry for her, but there is nothing I can do. Maybe I can refer her to the office of dependable lawyers like the San Diego Class Action Lawyer. I am pretty sure they can help her with anything from personal injury, wrongful termination, or even employment.

Does Coffee Helps Slowdown Alzheimer?

Posted by Cecile at 9/18/2012 07:12:00 AM 0 comments
I read an article that coffee is good for your health especially on old people who are worried about Alzheimer or even dementia. Even though, I don't drink coffee for religious reason, I still feel that coffee can help my parents slow the development of the two diseases when they drink coffee at least 2 cps a day. I was just wondering whether superior coffee would be a better choice. Or it really doesn't matter whether it is mild or strong. I don't really know. I think, I need to do more research on this one. For the meantime, my folks need to drink mild coffee just to be on the safe side. I don't want them to get lack of sleep because of the caffeine, you know!

Preparing for His Piano Lessons

Posted by Cecile at 9/18/2012 07:00:00 AM 0 comments
My son loves to play on his organ every weekend and told me on several occasions that he wanted to learn to play piano. And so, husband and talked about it and then decided to enroll him in a piano lesson early next year. We need to find a piano teacher and a reliable metronomes which is an  easy way to keep time. I have been reading a lot of reviews for a certain type of metronome, and so far there is one that I really like. Now, I know how much I need to save for this important tool he can use as we learns to play piano. O, I am so excited for him.

My Love for Interior Decorations

Posted by Cecile at 9/18/2012 06:41:00 AM 0 comments
One of my many passions aside from coking is 'interior decorating.' I love decorating our house as well as rearranging furniture. Sometimes, my husband gets tired of rearranging furniture because most of them are heavy. But, he can't complain about it, otherwise he'll get in trouble, lol. Anyway. though I so love interior decorating, I still find myself confuse which style of decor should I use. Would it be contemporary or rustic decor? Good thing, my husband and I agreed to go on contemporary or modern style or decor. I still like rustic decor, but maybe when our son no longer lives with us :-).

Living in Our Dream House

When husband was looking for a job after getting laid of from his job, he basically searched for a possible job everywhere. He went for an interviews in several states. And while he was busy looking for a job, I was also busy looking for house to live in different sates including real estate in louisville ky in Kentucky.  Luckily, we found a house of our dream in the state where we now peacefully and happy live; and we couldn't ask for more. We love our newly built house with everything we wanted in it for including a fireplace, 9 foot ceiling, covered porch and of course a peaceful neighborhood in a countryside. We thank God for His bounteous blessings.

Always the Hardest Part of Shopping

Posted by Cecile at 9/08/2012 07:24:00 AM 0 comments
After a month long vacation, it’s time for my uncle to go home. He had a wonderful time spent with us and his other relatives. It has been a while since he came home for a vacation and he missed everyone. Now it’s time to say goodbye. Who knows when he will be back for another long vacation again. My uncle is a very busy person.

But before he flies, he had to get some more stuff for homecoming gifts to his friends and co-employees. My sister and I helped him bought some dried fruits. We got him some handmade accessories for women. What’s lacking are small treats for his male co-employees. To me, that’s always the hardest part of shopping. Well, for convenient reasons, might as well order some cigars at http://www.famous-smoke.com. That will save us time.

Wrestling and Children

Posted by Cecile at 8/23/2012 08:40:00 AM 0 comments
Some parents are big fans of wrestling and this liking has also influenced their kids. Some children also watch wrestling matches and enjoy the sport alongside their parents. Clothing manufacturers have also come up with the wrestling singlets for kids so that they can also imitate their wrestling idols. Although wrestling is a very physical sport, parents who watch with their children should educate them properly as to how this type of sports works. Parents should emphasize wrestling is a sport and should not use it as a way to bully other kids or use in physical abuse. Watching wrestling matches should always be under the adult’s supervision and guidance.

Plastic Business Cards, the Most Preferred

Posted by Cecile at 8/23/2012 08:37:00 AM 1 comments
Most companies and businesses nowadays are using plastic ID cards. They last longer and are definitely more durable than those paper identification cards. Credit cards, hotel keycards, gift cards, personal cards and even school ID cards are now plastic as they don’t easily get damaged. There are companies too that make business cards using plastic cards. Many would prefer to have these cards as they are long-lasting and classy. For a plastic card printer buy online or in companies with physical offices if you want to start your own business in plastic card printing. You can check out www.plasticprinters.com for plastic card printers for a start.

Life is Grand with Classical Furniture

Posted by Cecile at 8/23/2012 08:33:00 AM 0 comments
There are people that prefer the classical designs and touch in things. Some buy classical furniture to feel kingly and queenly, they furnish their houses with furniture that look grand and have intricate details. Some have claw foot bathtub to add a touch of elegance to the bathroom, while others purchase large living room sets to resemble those like in castles and palaces. Classical furniture is beautiful in its own. If you inspect further, most classical furniture are rich in details and some are masterfully crafted, that is why some classical furniture and fixtures are expensive. Classical furniture definitely feels majestic and luxurious and will make every home more imposing.

It Helps Recognize my Faith

Posted by Cecile at 8/05/2012 04:49:00 PM 0 comments
When i was a little girl, my brother and I go to church every Sunday. I don't know why, but we kind of like going to church though our parents aren't religious people. They do go to church occasionally, but that was it. We don't pray as family. I do. And I am sure my brother prays, too. I liked to wear a necklace with a miraculous medal as pendant. It felt good to wear it aside from going to church almost every Sunday. Now, that I belong to an LDS church, I still wear a necklace which we can also call a miraculous medal. I love wearing it for it symbolizes my commitment to God, and on following Jesus Christ example. Wearing this particular necklace also help people recognize the faith where I now belong.

Wonderful Baptismal Service

Posted by Cecile at 8/05/2012 04:40:00 PM 0 comments
During the baptism of Allison, a child in my Sunday School class at church, a relatives of her played a very nice piece using her flute. I really enjoyed the music and the whole baptismal program/service in general. I just wished I knew how to play it. Jacob's baptism would have been nicer have one of us played any musical instruments. Good thing a friend of ours played piano instead. Talking back on the flute, I am pretty sure Alli's Aunt used an intermediate flute manufactured by armstrong winds. It sounded beautifully! I would like for my son to learn to play a flute or any musical instruments for that matter.

A Hitch for Our Van

Posted by Cecile at 7/07/2012 04:38:00 PM 0 comments
My family and I love to travel as well as outdoors. That is why every spring, summer and winter break, we make sure that we have planned activities during these school breaks. We do some camping, hiking, fishing, see National parks, state parks and so on. So, it is really necessary for us to someday buy a trailer, that way we can avoid staying at hotels and minimize eating at restaurants, thus saving us a lot of money. We think our van is good enough to haul a trailer like the class C RV. All we need to do is install a hitch at the back of our van. We can shop for a hitch at HitchDepotUSA.com for curt trailer hitches, too. I wonder if my in-laws need a new hitch for the RV. I need to find out next time we speak to them on the phone. In case they need one, then we can shop together online for curt trailer hitches and accessories.

Singing Karaoke Outdoor

Posted by Cecile at 7/07/2012 03:42:00 PM 0 comments
Every year when we celebrate our son's birthday, we have friends over for a party. Kids play; parents/adults eat, chat and sing karaoke. We have been doing it since J's first birthday. We always have fun as usual. Adults have so much fun as the kids have especially when we sing karaoke. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's in July when the temperature in Texas is extremely hot! And so, we ended doing the party indoor. I just wish it will cool down a little bit so we can have the party outside. I would like to have an  outdoor loudspeakers so we will enjoy our singing, lol. We, Filipinos love to sing, though sometimes most of us don't even have talent in singing; we just want to sing and enjoy the company of our family and friends. I really think that having loudspeakers outdoor makes the singing more enjoyable; what do you think? I remember growing up, my brother had a big speakers that he used outdoor when we have parties at home. We enjoyed it being part of the special occasions.

The other  night when I was browsing a certain website, I saw a neat  looking cd rack that I can use for our cd collections. The cd rack is made of wicker and that is how I liked it a lot. The size is the right for the amount of cd we have. But when, I tried to buy it, unfortunately, it was already sold to somebody else. I was just few minutes late :-(. I hope I can find a wicker made cd rack like that again. I need to keep looking.

Pasta Salad, Take it Easy on It!

Posted by Cecile at 7/06/2012 05:30:00 PM 0 comments

Just want to share one of our family's all time favorite healthy salad. It's got meat, cheese, fruits and pasta. This dish is a Filipino style chicken macaroni salad and is really good! The dish itself is a complete meal already. The bad side of i is that, it raises my blood sugar high. The pasta itself is not good for me, but for my husband and son, this dish is perfect. I can eat a little bit of it and I will still be fine though. For now, I eat more raw salads with fruits and healthy dressing using olive oil and apple cider vinegar. Anyway, if you are into  a complete meal, try this one...and for you who is a diabetic...you need to take it easy on this, lol

The Convenieces Offer by Mailboxes

Posted by Cecile at 7/06/2012 05:22:00 PM 0 comments
I have been living in United States for almost 12 years now and I am loving it. I have totally adjusted to my new way of live though it is completely opposite on the how I lived my life 11 years ago. With all the conveniences of modern technology  offers me as a wife and mother, I am not sure anymore whether I can go back to my old life back in the country where I was born and raised. I grew up in a country where everything is simple. Mailman delivers the mail the old fashioned way, no apartment complex, internet connection is very limited, they means of transportation is still the same (tricycles, buses, and trains. No wonder mails are received very slowly. To get the mail expedited, you will need to go to the nearby city, and pay expensive fees!

When I came to the U.S., my husband and I lived in an apartment for six months before we moved in to our first house. We got our mail through private mailboxes located in the apartment complex. I like the way they deliver the mail. It was safe and protected. I am pretty sure the manager/owner of the apartment complex got the private distribution mailboxes at auth florence  mailboxes direct. This company sells all kinds of mailboxes in different sizes, shapes, and materials. Anyway, though we now live in a house with our own choice of mailbox, I still feel that it is safe to use private distribution mailboxes for the mails are safe and protected. Nobody can get our mails, but us especially when we are away for days or so. As I browse in the website, I've found out that we can buy our own mailbox at auth florence for a fair price. I need to convince my husband to see if he will let me buy a new mailbox from this website. I am crossing my fingers with a hope that he would agree :-).

He Sure Can Dance!

Posted by Cecile at 6/16/2012 12:35:00 PM 1 comments
I noticed that my son loves to dance. Every time he hears is favorite music on the internet especially on YouTube, he would start dancing. I must admit he dances pretty good. One time, I told him to join the talent show at school this coming school year, but he immediately said that he is shy. As a Mom it's my job to encourage and praise him not only to boost his self esteem, so he wouldn't not stop doing what he wanted to do. I really think, he has a talent to show and that he can dance.

Anyway, I don't want to force him if he doesn't want to, but I know he will come around and will decide someday to go and audition. And when that time comes, I can take him to a place like audition-coach.com where they do a lot of "casting auditions" to discover new talents. I can also refer a friend who has a son who is really good in singing. This boy can sing I tell you. My friends needs to know first before going there to know "how to audition for singing."

I believe that parents support and encouragement play an important role in helping children develop their children's talents and abilities. Thanks also to such company like audition-coach.com that makes it possible for the talents to be discovered.

On Weight Loss Goal

Posted by Cecile at 6/08/2012 10:15:00 PM 2 comments
Although I did walk and tried to eat good food, I still feel like I didn't do much at all this week to lose weight. Therefore, I am not looking forward to weighing in tomorrow for the biggest loser competition I have joined almost 2 months ago. I need to go better tomorrow if I were to lose weight be be healthy again. Really, I still wonder why it is easy to gain weight, than lose. My main motivation is be healthy again, be free from insulin and fit with all the clothes I have been keeping in my closet for years. I also want to gain back my self-esteem and set a good example for my son. It is possible, I know!

On a Tight Budget

Posted by Cecile at 6/07/2012 09:25:00 PM 0 comments
It's been awhile since a friend of us lost his job. He has three small kids to support, bills, house payments and credit cards to pay. His wife is working two jobs while studying at the same time. I feel sad for them. I wish we cam help them, but we have our own obligations, too. Anyway, they bought an old van for their growing family. Though the van is old, it was working great still and it was looking good, too. They probably looking now for a liability insurance quote they can afford. I am pretty sure there is an insurance company out there that will meet their vehicle's need. Car insurance with full coverage is not an option for them right now because of their tight budget. I am so glad they have a car now to use as they run errands, drop and pick their kids up to school and the like.

It's Not My Thing

Posted by Cecile at 6/05/2012 10:21:00 PM 0 comments
My husband loves going to some hardware stores and home improvement stores when he gets bored during his 3 days off from work. I normally go with him every time he does his favorite things. It's kind of like our date since our on is at school during those days. Sometimes, he will find something that I really have any clue the thing he was showing me, like for instance a turnbuckle. Pardon me, but I don't see this kind of thing very often. Plus, this is not a thing women's use in their everyday chores even lives. It's not a woman's thing. Anyway, the other day, he asked me to buy something that's got to do with watering gardens. I've never seen it before, and so I have to asked someone who works at the store if they sell something like that. Fortunately, he knew already what I was trying to described to him, and said 'they don't sell it.' He advised me to go to Home Depot or Lowe's for it. Oh well, My husband needs to find it for I don't have any patience looking for it.

Looking for Insurance Company

Posted by Cecile at 6/05/2012 09:38:00 PM 0 comments
My husband and I have been talking about switching insurance company for awhile now. For whatever reason, the insurance company we have right now decided that they would increase our monthly mortgage payment to $50 more. That is too much and I don't think we would be able to pay more than we are paying right now. So, we started looking for an insurance company. With many insurance companies around, it is not easy for us to find the one we were looking for. It's like finding a company that will help with  annuity payments; the harder, the more choices to choose from. So, we need to be careful in selecting a company that will surely meet our needs. We really need to find one soon for they already charging us more for a couple of months now, ugggh!

Missing My Grandma

Posted by Cecile at 6/04/2012 10:55:00 PM 0 comments
About four years ago, I have attended my grandmother's funeral back home to the Philippines. Her death devastated me because I lived with her half of my life. She took care of me when I was a baby for 7 years. Then, I took care of her for years before I got married. She has been very good to me and to all my cousins. She loves each one of us equally. Anyway, back then, we didn't know that a diapers for men and women exist. I remember washing my grandmother's underwear a lot. It was really hard back then because it was like a waste of time and money washing it everyday since she didn't have many underwear. Had we known about the said diaper for men and women, it would have been easier for us to change her diaper. No more underwear to be washed. All we could have done were throw those diaper in the trash can. Oh well, now we know, lol though it's already too late. Missing my grandma so much, wish she was still alive today.

Care Package for My Family

Posted by Cecile at 5/31/2012 11:46:00 PM 0 comments
It is almost time for me to send a care package for my family to the Philippines. I remember the last time I sent them one was Christmas of last year. It's been six months now and I already have something for my eldest brother. I am giving him our old printer/scanner which is still in good working condition. This will help him with his internet cafe. He is pretty excited about it. Now, I am busy shopping online for stuffs that my nieces need for school and for work. Shopping online is very easy and can be addictive, too especially if you find great deals on the things that you don't really need like clothes, toys, and perfumes. I should be looking for a guitar that my nieces need. One of them mentioned with me to  buy Line 6 brand guitar for her. I didn't say I'll buy her one since it is kind of expensive; maybe someday when I have enough money or became rich. For now, what they really need is a computer, and some stuffs for their kitchen and bedrooms since they just moved in the a new apartment. Care package needs to be sent soon.

No Exercise, but Rest

Posted by Cecile at 5/14/2012 09:56:00 PM 0 comments
I have gotten used to exercising once a day for at least half an hour, but today I didn't do it due to being sick. I felt guilty not being able to walk today :-/.  Not walking today made me eat a little better. I ate little and rested, too. I feel much better now and hopefully, I would be able to walk/exercise again tomorrow. Sad to say, that I even cancelled/rescheduled my lab work this morning to next week. The headache caused by my PMS and colds made me feel worst this morning. Thank goodness, after I took a nap this afternoon, I felt much better now. I learned today that pushing yourself into doing something you normally do even for the health sake is not good for the health. Taking a break and having a restful sleep instead is better.

Heat Tubing

Posted by Cecile at 5/11/2012 11:16:00 PM 0 comments
When the contractors started building our house three years ago, they told us that we can check the status of the house if we want to. So, we decided to drive to the site at least once a week and more than once when the house is almost done. We took pictures of the house every time we go there. There were times where workers are still working when we go there and noticed a lot of improvements. We also saw one time during one of our visit that they used  Heat tubing installing appliances. I even asked my husband what those things are for...and he said something like to protect the appliances. We sure were glad for that small thing that helps a lot in keeping our appliances last longer and work better.

Pain on Lower Part of Hips

Posted by Cecile at 5/07/2012 07:43:00 AM 0 comments
Today, my friend and I went for a walk in the park. It took us an hour and ah half to finish walking around the pond and back home. I felt good inside though fr whatever reason the lower part of my hips were aching. Good thing that as soon as I sat down on the couch the pain went away. I wonder why it hurt so much. I have been walking for a week now, but I have had pain on my lower hips till today. I was thinking that maybe it 's because my body is building muscles which is good. I couldn't wait ti that muscle building is over, then I would be able to lose weight afterward :-).

Important Car Parts

Posted by Cecile at 5/02/2012 02:56:00 PM 1 comments
My husband is a self proclaim handyman. He can fix almost everything in our house from plumbing, electronic installations to fixing a car. The reasons why we save a lot of money; instead of hiring someone to fix them for us, he does it himself. Am I lucky wife or what? Last week, he replaced the break pad of our van, changed oil and replaced the damaged window cause by the hailstorm. Now, he is planning on buying a bosch o2 sensor fr his car to help measure the distribution of fuel and air ratio in it. I wonder how much it will cost us to get this part for both cars. I guess, we just need to check it online or go directly to the places where they sell it. I just hope it wouldn't as expensive as I thought it would be for we don't have enough savings for it yet.

My Quest to Lose Weight

Posted by Cecile at 4/29/2012 01:59:00 PM 0 comments
Two weeks ago, I joined a Biggest Loser Competition group that my friend set up. There are 40 members, all of who pitched in $25. If you lose 8% of your weight by July 7th she rips the check up. If you don't, the money goes to the Biggest Loser (the person with the greatest percentage of weight loss).

I started losing weight a week ago before this started. The first week the competition started was actually the first week I gained weight since Christmas and I have had trouble losing it since. About three months ago when; went to have my routine check up with my doctor. Everything was fine when the lab work came out and we were very pleased with the results. My doctor told me that all; need to do is to lose weight since the holiday is over, and eating is no longer an excuse. He challenged me that after three months that I would need to lose at least 5 pounds before I see him again three months from that day. For whatever reason, I kept telling myself that I would follow his advised, I would eat less and exercise more. But that goal didn't happen. And I only have less than three weeks before I see hm again for my annual exams.

So far, I have lost, more or less 10 pounds, and I am feeling great. Been eating less and exercising more for the past three weeks. My blood sugar level has gone down from high to 60 (the lowest), plus my insulin shot was decreased to 20 units each night compared to 60 units before I joined the competition.

I hope that I would be able to continue losing weight even when the competition is over. I really want to go back to my ideal weight before I got married which was 100 pounds. I know I can do it.

Decorative Switchplates Covers

Posted by Cecile at 4/25/2012 12:23:00 AM 0 comments
We have been living in our house for nearly three years now and we are loving it. Being the first time owner of the house, we have invested a lot in it from updating the carpets to adding a patio. Now, we are in the process of painting the walls of the bathrooms and the bedrooms. Yes, we are done painting the living room, kitchen and the eating area. Anyway, we have notice that all the switchplate covers are plain white in color. I thought that maybe someday, we need to replace them with new ones particularly switchplates cover that are decorative in style. They would add beauty to the walls of the house.

Heat and Nose Bleed

Posted by Cecile at 4/21/2012 09:34:00 PM 0 comments
The other night, my son woke up coughing. I told him to blow his nose which he did. In less than a minute I heard him crying. I asked him why, but I couldn't understand what he was saying and so I went to check on him in the bathroom and saw blood everywhere. I realized then that his nose was bleeding like crazy! I felt terrified but did show it to him otherwise he wouldn't stop crying. I explained to him that he is going to be fine and it will stop as soon as he pinch his nose and tilt his head back. I am glad he followed my advised, soon enough the bleeding stopped and so as his crying. Anyway, it has been hot here in this part of Texas and I feel like it is summer already. I was just hoping that summer this year wouldn't be as hot as last year so we would be able to enjoy summer and Jacob's birthday in July.

Flowers for My Mother on Mother's Day

Posted by Cecile at 4/17/2012 09:44:00 PM 1 comments
Living overseas away from my family especially my mother makes me feel nostalgic. I miss my mother and father so much! I just wish we live near her so I can visit her and my father a lot. My folks are not getting younger anymore. They need to spend more time with their only grandson (which is my son) or vice versa.  This May, there are two things I'd like to do for my mother. First, send her a birthday card and then have a flower delivery company deliver flowers to her on Mother's Day. I am that would make her very happy since she never received flower for her birthday or on Mother's Day in her life. I am going to send flowers to my mother in - law, too.

Taking about Mother's Day, I am curios and excited for what I am going to get from my husband and son. I hope he not ask me what I want for I like to be surprised. A pot of my favorite flower plant would be very nice for it can last longer since I would have it re planted afterward :-). A nice card and maybe a family dinner date would be a bonus, lol....but not necessary important. Last year, he gave me a flower which still alive because I turned to a plants/gardening website for help on how to take care of houseplants. Now, I plan on sending my Mom a house plant so she can take care and enjoy it longer.

We Couldn't Wait to Go to Disneyland!

Posted by Cecile at 4/17/2012 02:47:00 PM 0 comments
A family friend of ours decided to go on Disneyland this summer and invited us to join them if we don't have any plans yet for summer. We would love to go with them, but we don't have enough saving for that trip. Yes, we would go there, but not till next year, hopefully. Not to mention that we already had our grand vacation for this year which had happened a couple of weeks ago. We thought they would still go without us, and so I did what she asked me to do which was find a great deal for disneyland tickets at dnticket.com. But last week, she mentioned again about that trip. I told her that we can not do it this year due to our tight budget. I encourage her that they should still go even without us. But I don't think she would like go still.
But hey, the disneyworld vacation is still in the #1 lists of the places we would like to go next year. My family and I plan on going there with my brother in-law who lives in North Carolina. It would be fun to be with them for we missis them a lot! Our kids would be very much happy for they haven't seen each other for almost a year now. I hope by then, we would be able to get/buy an affordable disneyworld/disneyland tickets for all of us. Oh,  I couldn't wait!

A Surprise Guitar for Them

Posted by Cecile at 4/16/2012 01:26:00 PM 0 comments
I have four beautiful, smart, and very talented nieces back home. They all love music, and when they all get together, they sing, play guitar, dance and and even play an organ. One of then actually composes songs and even sings it herself. It's been awhile since I saw them played because I live millions of miles away from them. I am sure they need a new guitar for the one they were using is already old. I am pretty sure they would love a new guitar from  Daddario.  If I only have enough savings, then I would surprise them with one of Daddario guitar when  we visit them again next year. Who knows, I may have money to buy that guitar for them, right. And if I do, then it would be a Christmas present for the 4 of them, yay!

My Father's First Doctor's Visit

Posted by Cecile at 4/16/2012 01:25:00 PM 0 comments
Knowing my father, he doesn't want to see a doctor though he is sick. He never seen a doctor ever that is why I was very proud of him to go see a doctor by himself. I have been telling him that he needs to see a doctor because he has been complaining about the headache, coughing, and dizziness. I was worried that it has something to do with his smoking. Yes, he has been smoking for as long as I can remember. I am convinced that there is something wrong with his lungs, but I was wrong. He told me that his blood tests are fine and he is healthy as his doctor told him. But the dizziness still worries me. And so I asked him to see his doctor again and ask what is going on. His next follow up check up is coming up. Hopefully, his doctor is back from his trip to the U.S. My Dad likes his doctor because he said that this doctor is really, really good! I couldn't wait to hear from his next visit this month.

I Am Just Curious

Posted by Cecile at 4/16/2012 01:05:00 PM 0 comments
On the way home from hospital today with my husband, I happened to read a sign saying "great gifts for lovers." Curious I was, I kept reading and it says, "DVD" and there was a couple smiling. And I thought, okay...now I get it. My husband and I were laughing. Then,  when I looked again outside, I saw another sign saying "Condoms to go." It got me thinking, " what is going on now in the world we live in?" I realized then that the conservative in me strikes again. So, we can buy almost everything in this world now, right? Anyway; I wonder what was my brother's p6 extreme results was when he got it. Hmm, I better ask my sister  in - law about that. I figured that It would be uneasy for me and my brother to talk about it.

We Love that Antique Chair!

Posted by Cecile at 4/16/2012 12:41:00 PM 0 comments
My husband was lucky enough to inherit an antique chair from his grandfather. This chair has been in our house nearly 12 years ago. About two years ago, my husband decided to fix it because the cushion finally gave up. We didn't want to store it in the garage for it is such a nice looking chair and we get a lot of compliments from people who visit us. Husband did a great job fixing the cushion using microfiber fiberfill. Now, the chair still sits in the living room complimenting the rest of the furniture as well as the color of the wall in the living area. Oh, how we love that chair!

Plan to Retire in Edmonton

Posted by Cecile at 4/13/2012 08:08:00 AM 0 comments

About a year ago, a friend of mine and his family while out for dinner, thieves had broken into their apartment and took all their valuable belongings and didn't leave a thing. They were very frustrated especially my friend who uses computer and her laptop doing her online job. She didn't know what to do and where to start! I would feel the same way if I were in her shoes...and maybe even worst! Good thing she has faith in God and is an active member of the congregation where she and her family belong.

After thinking, talking withe her husband, they decided to look a better and safer place to live and found on at rentedmonton.com where many people look for when it comes to a rental places particularly those who planned on moving to Edmonton, Canada. I heard a lot of nice things about this city in Canada and is dreaming to go there or maybe live there someday if God will let us. I'd like to see the largest mall in the world and visit some more interesting places. Honestly, hubby and I have been talking about retiring there. We just need to figure out what to do next or how to get a visa so we can live there permanently.

At Home Sick

Posted by Cecile at 4/10/2012 11:25:00 AM 0 comments
Thanks for the post, Kathy Shelton

Oh boy, have I been thankful for my Direct TV Albuquerque this week. Towards the end of last week I began to get a little itch in my throat and ache in my head. It progressed through the weekend into full body aches and I could barely breathe through my nose. I went to the doctor Monday morning and sure enough, I had come down with the flu. I don't believe that I have had the flu since I was a kid. I don't know if it is due to the fact that I am getting older but this time it hit me harder than ever. The doctor told me to go home and rest as much as I could. If watching a 12 hour marathon of CSI is considered rest, then I guess I obeyed the doctors orders. I am not the kind of person who can just stay in bed and sleep all day. Even when I am sick, I have to keep my brain occupied or I will go crazy. My wife has been great through this whole ordeal. She has brought me dinner in bed every night and even rubbed my feet. I guess I will have to remember that when she is sick next time.

Model Plane Kit for Jacob

Posted by Cecile at 3/26/2012 04:50:00 PM 0 comments
Every once in a while, I see some model cars  in a specialty store and I can help but admire it. My son loves model cars and he never fail to ask for one every time we are at that store. Because I always give in to his request, he now have collection of it at home. I couldn't even count in my fingers. I wish there are model planes, too that way he can have new toys to collect and enjoy. It would be fun seeing him makes model planes using the kit I will find at that store one day. See, I think I am more excited than him, lol. I better start looking for model planes online. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it in time for his birthday in July.

A Perfect Gift for My Mom

Posted by Cecile at 3/26/2012 04:38:00 PM 0 comments
My mother's birthday is coming very soon. Two more months and it would her birthday. I still don't know what to give her for a gift. She doesn't like clothes that much, make up and electronic gadgets. There are three things she likes the best and they are sandals, jewelry, and vitamins. With the three, I lean more on jewelry. That's right! Now, I need to find a jewelry store that does a "design your own mother's ring" jewelry. I bet my Mom will going to like it. I still have plenty of time to buy this perfect gift for her birthday. A customize necklace or a ring is what I want for her. I don't care if it would cost me a little bit more, but It is worth the money because it is for my Mom, the best mother in the universe. I love you, Mom and I miss you, too!

Not In the Plus Size Section!

Posted by Cecile at 3/26/2012 04:26:00 PM 1 comments
Healthwise, I can say that I am no longer a healthy person. The last time I remember I had a healthy and body and desirable weight was 11 years ago. I was still single back then. I have been married almost 11 years ago and have gained 50 pounds already :-(.  I no longer work outside home and that is one factor behind my overweight body. Next, is my love for cooking. Yes, I cook a lot and ate a lot, too! What can I say, we are a family of three who love to eat! Bad habit I supposed. Anyway, If I'll be invited to a cocktail party, sad to say but I will need to find an evening gown/ dress in the plus size evening gowns section. That is the last clothes section I would want to be. I really need to seriously consider losing weight otherwise I'll find myself shopping at the big and tall (women section) section of the department store.

I Am Sicked and Tired of Allergy

Posted by Cecile at 3/26/2012 04:11:00 PM 0 comments
I have been living in Texas for almost 11 years now and so far, I only had bad allergy one time. I guess I am not that prone to allergy. My husband and son on the other hand both suffer from bad allergy each year. We tried several allergy medications for them, but only a couple of this medicines worked. Administering medications when sick is not my cup of tea, that is why we try the best we could to stay away from it. I think it's time for us to find an allergy doctor just like the austin tx allergy doctor if we really want to treat this allergy. I am so tired watching my son having trouble sleeping because his allergy prevents him from getting a goodnight rest and sleep. And as a mother I always wish that I can take away the pain he feels every time. But it is impossible, we have no choice but to contact an allergy specialist.

Trade Show Booths Display

Posted by Cecile at 3/17/2012 11:38:00 AM 0 comments
Few years ago, hubby and I went to a trade show in Grapevine, TX. It was my first time to see such a big trade show and I was amazed. There are lots and lots of trade show booths selling different kind of stuffs. It was interesting how people decorated their tables using table skirts. What I like about the table skirt is that its velcro attach around the the skirt, thus making it easier to place the table skirt on the top of the table.
Anyway, if you are looking for pipe and drape, table skirt, and banner stands you need to visit the links provided here. This company sells these items for an affordable price. Whether you are preparing for a birthday, wedding, anniversary or for a trade shows they have everything you need. Their table skirt comes in different sizes and colors. Their banner stands are very useful. You can even use it if you want to raise a flag during Memorial day, President's day and etc. It can be use outdoor and indoors. You can use pipe and drape for privacy during your meeting, or a divider during trade shows and even control crowds when needed.
So, check the links here if you are interested. You'll find more items you needed for your trade show booths, parties and organization you belong to.

I Like Surprises!

Posted by Cecile at 3/15/2012 07:40:00 PM 0 comments
Three days from now would be my birthday. I just couldn't believe it! It feels like I had it celebrated with my son and hubby just a week ago. I am getting older, oh no! Anyway, funny but true, every year I forget my birthday, and if not for my husband's reminder I would have forgotten it again this year. I don't know why, but I feel like it would be nice if nobody remembers my birthday just for once. I just want to forget it even for once. But, I am pretty sure it will never happen because hubby always remembers it. He even asked me a couple of days ago what I'd like for my birthday (meaning gift). "I don't know" was my replied.  Okay, maybe I'd buy you a pair of Black diamond earrings. I said; really? Okay then I said laughing. I know he was just kidding :-).  He knows I am not a person who loves expensive jewelry. I told him "surprise me then for once, lol." I like surprises after all. Now, I an curious and excited for the gift he promised me.

Really One Option

Posted by Cecile at 3/10/2012 01:10:00 PM 0 comments

Guest written by our friend Katie Callahan
There was really only one option when it came to my internet when I started looking into clear caldwell. It’s been really nice having convenient internet since I started back classes because it’s much easier to get online and do my homework than it is to have to use pen and paper like some of my classmates. I think it’s amazing there’s so many options for technology but at the end of the day I’m all about the easiest, most convenient option. Technology is my friend but you know, there’s something to be said for not having to do things the long way – I really feel bad for the classmates of mine who are more interested in doing things the ‘old school’ way because they think it’s got some kind of integrity behind it…I’d rather spend my time learning than trying to find my notebook from the night before. I can’t believe there are so many different viewpoints on something as simple as technology!

Great Discounts on Musical Instruments and Accessories

Posted by Cecile at 3/07/2012 09:18:00 PM 0 comments
"Music is the mirror of our soul" as they say, and I agree with that. With the right choice of music to listen to, you feel better, relax, comforted, peaceful and in love :-).  My love for music started when I was in grade school. I sang a lot and listen to good music a lot, too! Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky enough to join the choir in my younger years, but joined the choir later on at church where I belong now. Just the sound coming from different musical instruments gladden my heart. It made me feel like learning to play guitar, piano and even banjo. It wasn't too late for me to learn, but for now, I'll leave it to my son.

Husband and I love the sound of banjo and so he bought one, and a guitar, too online during President's Day  sale where musiciansfriend.com held the  President's Day - 15% off a single item $199+ . I think it was a great deal. So, if you are looking for musical instruments like electric guitar,  drum set with cymblas, led light bar and effects system and more.  I tell you, this President's Day - 15% off a single item $199+ is not going to last...so you hurry up before this sale ends. You are going to save more if you buy more on top of the free shipping they offer. For those who are members of a band or just forming a new one, this website is a place to shop. You'll find everything you need for cheaper price and big discount.

Anemia and Me

Posted by Cecile at 2/29/2012 10:14:00 PM 0 comments
I was diagnosed with  iron deficiency anemia in 2008. I thought it was normal to bleed a lot during my monthly period. I was worried a little bit though because I only not bled a lot, but also big blood clots are coming out of my body, too. I noticed I became weaker and weaker each day. I loss appetite, always tired even though I wasn't doing anything at all. I slept a lot as well during those times. What I didn't understand is that I always have my regular CBC and other lab tests, but my doctor didn't mention anything about my blood count that was very low.So, it was like nearly a year before the diagnosis was confirmed.

When we moved back to Texas and had a lab works done with my kidney doctor or (nephrologist). He was alarmed how low my CBC was. He immediately sent me to an emergency room to get admitted for a blood transfusion. I was at the hospital for a couple of days. I was advised to eat plenty of foods rich in iron and to take an iron supplement twice a day. Then, also I have to go back to his clinic every other week for another CBC test....and get a shot every time.

Anyway, below is n info I found on Wikipedia about iron deficiency anemia which I found very useful for a person like me who has anemia.

Iron-deficiency anemia is a common anemia (low red blood cell level) caused by insufficient dietary intake and absorption of iron, and/or iron loss from intestinal bleeding, parasitic infection, menstruation, etc. Red blood cells contain iron and are not formed when iron is deficient.
Iron deficiency causes approximately half of all anemia cases worldwide, and affects women more often than men. World estimates of iron deficiency occurrence are somewhat vague, but the true number probably exceeds one billion persons. In women over 50 years old the most common cause of iron-deficiency anemia is chronic gastrointestinal bleeding from non parasitic causes, such as gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers or gastrointestinal cancer.
Anemia is one result of advanced-stage iron deficiency. When the body has sufficient iron to meet its needs (functional iron), the remainder is stored for later use in all cells, but mostly in the bone marrow, liver, and spleen. These stores are called ferritin complexes and are part of the human (and other animals) iron metabolism systems. Ferritin complexes in humans carry approximately 4500 iron atoms and form into 24 protein subunits of two different types.

Bean Sprout, Rich in Iron

Posted by Cecile at 2/18/2012 10:09:00 PM 0 comments
When I was diagnosed with the type2 diabetes, I was so scared! I didn't want to die with such disease that is why I started exercising, and eating a healthy diet. I eat very little foods 5 times a day. By doing these simple things, I was able to lower my blood sugar and avoid taking oral medicine for diabetes and insulin. I loss weight, too.

Now, I am anemic and my doctor advised me to take iron supplements, eat foods rich in iron. Since I love to eat green and leafy vegetables, my blood count went up. I also learned that bean sprout and swiss chard are iron-rich foods. These foods are few of my favorites.

World of Warcrafts Websites

Posted by Cecile at 2/17/2012 06:13:00 PM 0 comments
My son loves to play video games at home. Sometimes I set limits on him with this thing because it isn't good for him to play for long hours. So, I just let him play during weekends like Friday night and on Saturday (no Sunday though). Anyway, he loves the Warcraft so much. Thank goodness the wow private server is there to help me and my son play safely. My son can play under the rules set by the administrator of the said website or Warcraft website, thus the game's dynamic is different that the others. So, if you want to play this exciting games, hurry and visit their site for more info.

I Dream of Julbo Sunglasses

Posted by Cecile at 2/17/2012 05:15:00 PM 0 comments
About a month ago, my girlfriends and I went to the mall to do some shopping. We meet regularly to chat, watch movie even window shop when we feel like going out. Normally, we do shopping and have lunch afterward. We always have fun and excitement. Last time we went to the mall, I bought myself a sunglasses at H&M store. It was cheap and nice looking that is why I bought it. I jus wished I can get myself a brand name sunglasses like the julbo brand. I like their sunglasses for they are stylist and fashionable not to mention that are quality made. Oh well, maybe my husband would buy me one this March for my birthday present. I am crossing my fingers now, lol.

Unhealthy Foods

Posted by Cecile at 2/17/2012 05:03:00 PM 0 comments
While I was browsing on my facebook account, I can't help but have noticed this image. It is mind bugging. To think that these foods are widely eaten by most people everyday. I am not fond of these foods at all nor serve it to my family. I came from a family who eats healthy foods such as veggies, meat, fish and seafood. So when I came here to the US, I was surprised that my husband likes them a lot, not realizing how bad they are for your body...I started eating them, too. Don't get me wrong, but still I can't live eating these foods a lot. I still crave for the foods I grew up eating. Good thing I was able to teach my son and hubby to love healthy foods. Now, they eat veggies and fresh fruits and seafood a lot.

Anyway, even though these foods are everywhere, and it is very tempting to eat them often...I was able to deprived my family of these cancer - causing foods. They are yummy alright, but more often...yummy foods are not always healthy and good for your body. Now, is the time to eat healthy and take care of you health.

Unique Amish Furniture

I don't know about you, but I am fascinated  with the Amish people, culture, way of living and their furniture. How I wish I lived during those times where Amish people's community are everywhere. For now, all I can do is dream. Anyway, I like looking at their furniture and wishing that one day I can buy at least a piece of the furniture like the bed, chair or complete dining set. Every once in awhile, hubby and I do some window shopping at Amish furniture store in town or at  amish furniture online. We both can't help but sigh for we'd love to buy one of their furniture but we can't afford it. Amish furniture is expensive, but it is made with high quality materials and hard work. You will never find a unique and genuine furniture....only at Amish furniture store or online.

People and Our Farm

Posted by Cecile at 2/08/2012 10:28:00 AM 0 comments
Thanks for the post, Arthur Lawrence

Having so many people come to help us get this farm off the ground was a blessing – we never could have done it on our own. I love our friends and family and they were so generous with their time – I don’t know how I could ever repay them at the end of the day. I am at the finishing stages of getting this place ready to open and I’ve been looking on http://www.satelliteinternetbroadband.com/ for a home internet solution so I can get on the farmer’s market board. I really want us to supply the majority of the root vegetables but there’s a lot of red tape to get through so I’ve got to figure out a way to get everyone behind us before we go to market. The farm itself looks great and I’m so pleased to say that it’s 100% organic. It’s the type of food I would want to eat if I weren’t growing it myself and that’s something to be proud of – people in our community deserve this type of treat!

I just think that you need a reliable boots if you are a motorcycle racer. This kind of footwear can stand any kind of weather, road and dirt. I am pretty sure that it is good for your legs and feet protection. I think that the sidi fusion boots are the one every racer should have. I've seen people wearing this kind of boots and they are all satisfied. If I have to buy one for hubby who wants to buy a motorcycle someday, I will definitely buy sidi fusion boots for him.

A Nebulizer for My Mom

Posted by Cecile at 2/06/2012 01:19:00 AM 0 comments
My Mom was diagnosed with Pulmonary Emphysema few weeks ago and I was very worried for her health. It started when she was coughing uncontrollably on New Years eve. The next day, she became very ill. She was very weak because she didn't have any appetite at all. She couldn't sleep and had a fever.  So she asked my brother to take her to the nearest hospital. They put an IV on her to get her strength back. They took an x-ray and the result was positive. Good thing that this kind of lung disease is reversible and can be treated for six months. She is now home and is on medications and taking vitamins. She is fees better everyday. Now, the doctor prescribed her a nebulizer which is kind of expensive especially that he asked for mebulizer machine. I wonder if this is the best choice or maybe the nebulizer where you can get a refill is much better. I need to do some more research otherwise I would be spending a lot for that machine itself! Well, expensive or not, I am willing to pay just because it is my Moms health. I love her and I want her to get better and be clear from PE again soon.

Great Addition to My Collections

Aside from my passion for branded name purses ans perfumes, I also love watches. I know it is not a good hobby, but I only buy these kind of stuffs when I have saved for them. I don't use credit card for it is only for emergency use; and that is the reason why we hardly have credit card debt. Anyway, hubby bought me 4 watches already as gifts. On for my birthday, one for Valentine's Day, Two of them were from Christmas. He hasn't given me a watch yet for our anniversary, maybe I'll ask her for a titanium watch my friends and I saw at the mall when we went shopping last week. I hope by then the price would be lower so hubby would get it for me without any fuss, lol. That watch was very nice and elegant looking. I would love to add it on my watch collections.

I Love Blogging and Writing

Posted by Cecile at 2/03/2012 07:19:00 PM 0 comments
When we moved to Virginia in 2008 due to husband's work, I was very upset. I didn't really want to move because we have been living in our first house for nearly 8 years and I have come to love the place/city. It was a great adjustment for me, but just like they say "you've got to do what you have to do." Yes, I didn't have any choice, but to follow where hubby's job takes us to. Good thing I have a friend who talked me into writing online or should I say 'blogging.' She was so persistent that  took her advice though I was skeptical. To tell you frankly, I kindly of enjoyed doing it that is why I am still doing it. Blogging has helped me a lot. I got the chance on exploring the world of internet. I have search many websites that are interesting, helpful and all. One of the many websites I came across with and came to love even to these day were the triangle direct media, wordpress, blogger and paypal. Blogging had taught me many lessons and opportunity I didn't know existed.  It's been 4 years now and I still enjoy blogging and writing where I express my thoughts, feelings, ideas and opinions with my fellow bloggers and friends.

His Heart is Broken

Posted by Cecile at 1/31/2012 06:12:00 PM 0 comments
Today, my son's heart was broken when he went to school to only to be told that the 'storybook parade' at his school was rescheduled. He looked forward to this school activity, but ended up disappointed. He even cried! I just don't understand why this school couldn't fixed their problem scheduling thing. Now, the said parade is now scheduled for next week. I hope Jacob would still have a nice time at school today.

With regards to me, I am feeling better now that my PMS is almost over. I still don't have appetite though. I want to eat just for the sake of eating but don't know what would please my appetite. I went back to sleep after my son went to school. I had another 2 and a half hour of nap. Now, Matt is back to work and wouldn't be home till later tonight. It seems that he likes his work schedule now. The only consolation I got is that he would go with us on Saturday morning activity before going to work, better than nothing :-).

Most businesses these days flourish even if company executives and staff are scattered all across the globe. Do you have an idea how these companies survive and still emerge successful? That’s because of modern technology that lets them discuss everything related to business in real time. Majority of these companies utilize web conferencing from ActConferencing.com to ensure that their online meetings are convenient, efficient, and always successful in spite of the distance that separates everyone else.

It’s Wiser to Lease Business Equipment for a Startup Company

Part of planning for a business is to study what type of equipment you might need to get the business started or functioning. However, if you have a small capital, you can’t expect to buy all the equipment you need. What you need is to find a company that would be willing to finance small business equipment for you and would guarantee fast approvals. This is very important so that you can get your business started right away and start earning returns on your investment.

Not So Happy Day

Posted by Cecile at 1/27/2012 06:15:00 PM 0 comments
Today was hubby's first day to work on swing shift which ia from 12noon to 12am. It would be beneficial for him because he gets to sleep at night instead of morning where everyone is awake. I didn't really approved of his choice to work on a swing shift because it means no more Saturday family bonding time...less time with Jacob and no time to help the moving in and out of members in the Kaufman ward. He said that this new schedule is just a trial; that if it didn't work the schedule will be back to the way it was. I am crossing my fingers on that.

Anyway, with regards to my day, I had fun with my friends. Today was our girls day out. Went to another friend's house to have a pedicure and manicure, ate lunch and went to the mall with our kids afterward. Jacob had fun at school as well as at the play place at the mall with Aaron. The only thing that happened with me today which I am not happy about is that I feel weak and my PMS is very heavy. I am pretty sure that my blood count is low again.

Valentines Gifts for Wives

Posted by Cecile at 1/23/2012 08:29:00 PM 0 comments
Valentines Day is fast approaching and I am excited about it. The only occasion where hubby and I get the chance to go for a date without our son, lol. Part of the occasion is I would get a gift from my husband. He buys me a gift that I like aside from flowers and dinner date. I know I have a website where husbands can buy gifts for their wives. Anyway, I will tease my husband this silly question  "where are you going to buy a gift for your wife for Valentines Day? He'll probably laugh. Seriously, I need to know this time because if he hadn't decided yet, then I can tell him the website I have found online :-).

My Parents Health is Important to Me, too!

Posted by Cecile at 1/07/2012 12:26:00 AM 0 comments
Yesterday I have found out that my mother was admitted to the hospital due to her so much coughing that led to no appetite, fever and weak body. I was very worried that I started praying for her a lot. I was in constant communication with my brothers who are taking care of her. Today, I learned that she is feeling much better now and is going home today. I thank God for the answered prayers. When it comes to health, I worry so much about my parents health than mine though I am sicker than they. They are getting old and is prone to sicknesses. I just wished that I am around them to take care of them personally, but I can't. I am million miles away from them; and I am grateful for my siblings are there to look after our parent's need. Health is one of the most important things I worry a lot...and so I make sure that they are taken care of even when I am away from them. Anyway, am glad that I could be of help for them financially and emotionally when they needed them most. Yes, I do love my folks so much!

Problems with Homeownership

My sister is moving into her first house! I am so excited for her. The first house is the best. I still remember when I moved into my first house. I was so happy to be out of an apartment. I think I could have moved into anything resembling a house and been happy. When you move into your first house, you don’t think about all the little things. All the little things don’t matter: the crooked tile in the bathroom, the uneven floors or the lack of electrical outlets. All these things seem silly until you have lived there a few years. Then you start wondering why you didn’t have the contractor fix all the little things before you moved it. You wonder why you never had a ADT Ft. Worth security system installed. You even wonder why you let these things go so long without bothering you. Then you start looking for another house, better than the one you are in now. And the cycle goes on again. I am still happy for my sister and I hope she enjoys the best few years of home ownership.
