The other night J started coughing again. He couldn't sleep and I was so worried about him. He needs at least 10 hours of sleep so he would have energy playing after a whole day at school. I thought his coughing would stop, but after a couple of hours, he was still awake coughing like crazy. As a Mom, I took the liberty of giving him his allergy medicine. Thank goodness, after few minutes, he stopped coughing is is already snoring :-). I wish the allergy would stay away...am so tired of it. In a few more weeks I am sure it is going to get worst and my poor son will going to suffer again. His tonsil will swell again and he would have difficulty swallowing foods. This is not new that is why I am pissed off. I don't understand why I am not getting allergy, but my hubby and son do. I am not jealous..it's just that it is an inconvenience on their part. Oh well, I guess I just need to get use to it and move on.

Seasonal Allergy
My son suffers from seasonal allergy every year. And it occurs during summer and fall. The height of his coughing is during fall where it is windy. My husband and I worry so much about him for he couldn't sleep at night because of coughing. The allergy medicine he is taking helps a lot, but it needs to be taken everyday. We are concern he might get addicted to it. But so far, he is okay. I just wished there is a natural allergy medications available in the market, that way we are sure that there would be any side effects in the long run.
Anyway, according to what I've read online: these are the causes of fall allergies.
Weed pollen is the main cause of seasonal allergy in the late summer and early fall. Depending on the area of North America, these weeds include ragweed, sagebrush, pigweed, tumbleweed (Russian thistle) and cockle bur.

In some areas of the world, some trees can pollinate in the fall as well.
Here are some tips to minimize pollen exposure:
- Keep windows closed prevent pollens from drifting into your home
- Minimize early morning activity when pollen is usually emitted-between 5-10 a.m.
- Keep your car windows closed when traveling.
- Stay indoors when the pollen count is reported to be high, and on windy days when pollen may be present in higher amounts in the air
- Take a vacation during the height of the pollen season to a more pollen-free area, such as the beach or sea.
- Avoid mowing the lawn and freshly cut grass
- Machine dry bedding and clothing. Pollen may collect in laundry if it is hung outside to dry.

Seasonal Allergy Attacks My Son
The much awaited season of the year after summer has finally arrived. The weather started to cool off and we are very excited to go outside play, work in the garden, walk around the lake and parks, go camping, and enjoy the fall season where colorful leaves fall off the tree and on to the ground. Everyone loves fall except the allergy that comes from pollen. My son every year suffers from allergy and there's nothing we can do about it, but give him allergy medicine for kids. My son coughs a lot and is having difficulty sleeping, while I suffer from laryngitis :-(; I still have horse voice and it's been over a week now since I woke up without voice. My husband on the other hand is still doing fine; no signs of allergy yet. Thank goodness....my son's tonsil is not swollen yet from couching. I am crossing my fingers that it won't bother him again or else we have no choice but to remove it as his Pediatrician recommends :-).
